자신의 죽음을 앞두고 세상사람들에게 삶의 의미와 희망을 느끼도록 해주셨습니다.

기억에 남는말씀
"세상에서 가장 소중한 세 단어가 있는데 그건 `to be honest (정직하라)'
거기에다 세 단어를 추가한다면 `all the time (언제나)'"
"We just have too many things to do and not enough time to do them,"
"Time is all we have,"
"And you may find one day you have less than you thought."
“If you’re not going to have fun, then why do it?”
“Life really is too short.”
"Be good at something, it makes you valuable".
"Being successful doesn't make you manage your time well,"
"Managing your time well makes you successful."
"There is more to to-do lists than simply listing tasks. People need to break them into smaller, manageable parts"
"Everybody has this sort of romanticized notion of what happens when you find out you’re going to die. You know, that’s just fascinating to me because what’s going on is, I’m living my life and there’s not this existential epiphanous ‘Everything has changed.’ I have to use my time very, very wisely. I have to accomplish a whole bunch of things in the time I have left, and I have to try to have as much fun as I can."
He's a father of three children, ages five, three and one, who will soon have to say goodbye to their dad.
"I'm not going to live...long enough to tell them a lot of this stuff in person,"
"and so I have this sort of challenge of 'how do I put parts of me in a bottle so that they have a sense of who I was and what I stood for and how much I loved them.'"
